\\TRAVEL 

BRYC will cover all travel costs for the (60) youth participants. BRYC will also be responsible for travel arrangements, so please fill in the requested travel information in the registration form. For each country, there will be a BRYC travel coordinator, who will coordinate travel arrangements for each national delegation. So if you have questions about your travel arrangement, please contact your national travel coordinator. National coordinators are listed HERE. Other guests are responsible for covering their own travel costs.

\\ACCOMMODATION

BRYC will cover accommodation ​for the participants. Scandic Kirkenes has been chosen as the event hotel, and the participants will be sharing rooms in groups of 2, 3 and 4 people per room. The hotel is centrally located, and within walking distance to the Varanger museum. Scandic Kirkenes also has a swimming pool and sauna which is free for all hotel guests.

 

 

\\PARENTAL CONSENT FORM

Please note that participants under 18 must also send us a signed participation consent form from their parents/guardians. The form can be downloaded on the event registration page HERE.

\\VISA

If you are travelling to Norway from Russia, please be aware that you are responsible for obtaining a visa. If you need help in this process, you can contact your national BRYC coordinator.

\\MEALS, FOOD AND ALLERGIES

All meals during the annual event will be provided by Scandic. Information about the menu will be given closer to the event date. Please let us know in the registration form if you have any allergies or food preferences we should be aware of.

\\ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES

Please note that alcohol consumption is not allowed during the BRYC Annual Event. Participants are responsible for following these rules. 

 

 

\\PHOTOGRAPHY

Please be informed that film and photos will be taken during the event, some of which will be posted to our social media. If you don't want your picture to pe published in the social media or the press, please let us know in the registration form. 

Otherwise, we encourage everyone to take photos during the event and document your experience on social media. However, please show respect to those who don't want to appear in your posts. The following hashtags can be used for the event: #barentsyouth #bryc #brycannualevent2018.

\\WEATHER

Obviously, we have no control over the weather gods, but we're all familiar with the Arctic weather, so bring some warm clothes. In November, the temperature in Kirkenes is usually between 0 and -5 degrees celsius.
