About the event
Since 2006, BRYC has been organizing annual events for youth living in the Barents Region. The main purpose of these events is to create a platform for cross-border networking, cultural exchange and cooperation between youth.
Every year, BRYC dedicates its annual event to a specific theme or an important issue concerning youth in our region. This year's event is dedicated to the voices of indigenous youth in the Barents Region.
The BRYC Annual Event is a great way for young people to explore different parts of the Barents Region, learn about the Barents Cooperation, meet new friends from other countries and participate in fun workshops. The event ususally gathers around 60-70 youths from across the whole Barents Region.
The BRYC Annual Event 2021 will be held virtually on the 4th of December 2021. Participation is open to everyone, but we ask our participants to register before the 1st of December. The event program includes a digital workshop that requires active participation in group discussions. There is a limited number of spots in this workshop, we recommend to register as soon as possible.
The program also includes plenary sessions with educational content, a cultural performance and a panel discussion that will showcase the role of youth in different areas of the Barents Cooperation. We have invited five amazing panelists that will share their experiences and success stories from youth cooperation within culture, sports, indigenous peoples, education and environment. And we challenge you to take part in the discussion by raising questions to our panelists.
The panel discussion will be followed by a digital workshop, where you will get to work on a real-life case linked to the main theme of the event. Participants will work together in teams to solve the challenge by developing project ideas, which will be brought forward to the Barents decision makers.

We hope to see you at our event!
Please note that the working language of the event will be English.
